The Second  Meeting of 2017 of the Virginia Chapter of the Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association will be on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 11 am – 3 pm at the Goodwill, Market Street in Fredericksburg, Va.   Join us for lunch, an educational program, networking, and advocacy.

Members, Non-members are welcome to come, listen, learn and join.

Programs:

 1) Changes in DBHDS Human Rights Regulations and the effects on practice

2) What are Center’s for Independent Living (CIL) and how centers for Independent living can support residents with disabilities.

3) TBD depending on DMAS availability: Representative from the Department of Medical Assistance Services to present the CCC Plus program and changed to waiver and other programs affected all medicaid recipients.

Who should attend:  Nurses, any professional who works with persons with developmental disabilities, any person with a disability, caregiver or family member,  and/or anyone who is interested in the program.

Advance registration is requested, however, if there is space available the day of the event you may pay at the door.
