Mortality Review Nurse Investigator position with Liberty Healthcare Corporation in Nebraska
Due to continued organizational growth, Liberty Healthcare Corporation seeks an experienced Developmental Disabilities Nurse for a new ‘Mortality Review Nurse Investigator’ position.
This is a key role with a new statewide initiative endeavoring to improve the quality of health and human services provided to people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Nebraska.
Your day to day responsibilities will involve reviewing and analyzing various source documents related to deaths of supported persons, applying your nursing expertise, and generating comprehensive summary reports. You will also participate in various committees and quality improvement initiatives.
This is a non-direct nursing position which will allow you to work from home virtually – however at some point onsite / in-person work will likely be required. Thus, residency in Nebraska is required.
You’re a good fit if you are licensed as a RN in Nebraska and have knowledge of best practices in nursing care for people who have developmental disabilities.
Experience in healthcare quality assurance activities (e.g. root cause analyses, sentinel event investigations, mortality reviews) is preferred.

Quality Assurance Nurse (virtual) with Liberty Healthcare Corporation
Due to continued organizational growth, Liberty Healthcare Corporation seeks RNs for multiple new ‘Quality Assurance Nurse’ positions.
These are consultant-like roles, in which you will share your developmental disabilities nursing expertise with stakeholders within a large public health agency.
You will assist in the preparation of reviews and audits, implement corrective action plans, help to ensure compliance with Medical Assistance requirements, attend stakeholder meetings virtually, analyze data, create dashboards, and educate staff.
The result of your work should directly translate into improved quality of life and health outcomes for a significant number of people who have developmental disabilities.
These are non-direct nursing positions which will allow you to work from home virtually. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
You’re a good fit if you are licensed as a RN in Arizona or willing to become licensed in Arizona within 60 days (Arizona is a compact state). Knowledge of best practices in nursing care for people who have developmental disabilities is required.
Experience in healthcare quality assurance (e.g. conducting utilization reviews, patient surveys, provider audits, sentinel event investigations, analyses, etc.) is preferred.

We are looking for a compassionate and devoted Registered Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Community Living Services program with Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana. We are an established and recognized faith-based social service organization that provides living and learning environments for individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Current and valid Louisiana RN or LPN license
- At least two years of nursing experience
- Must be able to drive to multiple group homes as needed.
- Valid Louisiana Driver’s License
- Must have current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid Certifications
