Maryland – The DHMH, Developmental Disabilities Administration, located in Baltimore, is seeking a Nursing Program Consultant/Administrator IV. This administrative nursing position requires extensive and expert knowledge of COMAR regulations, nursing standards of practice and health care trends in order to function as the state somatic healthcare expert for the Developmental Disabilities Administration concerning the provision of nursing and health services, and the development of health policies. Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing or a health-related field from an accredited college or university and five years of experiences as a Registered Nurse including four years of experience in an administrative, supervisory, consultative, or teaching capacity. The successful candidate must have at least 2 years of DDA experience, including extensive knowledge of the DDA system of service provision, and extensive knowledge of statute and regulations governing nurse practice within the DDA system of service provision. Must be able to translate this array of knowledge into consultant/leadership role to guide the practice of the DDA Regional Nurses.
